Kamikoto knives are designed for chefs and serious home cooks, and I used one when chopping up a large eggplant for my new Cheesy Eggplant Bake recipe. It’s amazing how much more enjoyable cooking is when you have high-quality tools, and this knife from our sponsor was no exception!

About Kamikoto High-End Knives

The Kamikoto 神箏 Kanpeki Knife Set is handcrafted from high-quality steel from Honshu 本州, Japan and rigorously quality tested to ensure that it meets the distinction and caliber of Kamikoto 神箏.

The Kamikoto 神箏 Kanpeki Knife Set that we gave away includes one slicing knife (8.5 inches long), one vegetable knife (7 inches long), and one utility knife (5 inches long) to tackle the smaller, more intricate chores in the kitchen. Each knife is precision balanced and weighted for optimal form and long-lasting performance, and each blade is carefully tapered on one side and hollow ground on the other. Both handle and blade are satin finished, and the entire set is presented in a natural-colored ash wood box for safe storage and keeping.

  1. This part of the summer is all about freezing garden goodness for the winter. Those babies would get put to work (hopefully all three at once) slicing peaches, chopping peppers, and tearing through greens to enjoy the rest of the year!

  2. I would use the knives to slice fruits and vegetables- mainly tomatoes. I dislike using old knives that i can not cut through a tomatoes.

I’ve never had a knife set. My sister n law came over one day and she was in the kitchen with me and was helping cut some vegetables and literally made fun of me cause of my knives. I love to cook and always use lots of onions carrots and garlic but it just such a shore with my cheap knives. I just never know what to look for and I was checking them out at Walmart and I didn’t like them.

  4. I would use this knife set for cutting raw vegetables, slicing nut breads and cooked meats, and for paring and coring fruit.

  5. Oh man, I’d love to win these!!! We are waiting for our new house to be finished and I can’t wait to be in my new kitchen! Knife skills is something I really want to work on :)

  6. These knives would be used for everything! Our CSA has been plentiful this year, so lots of veggies to chop. We cook almost all our meals from scratch, even baby food. My father, who is a professional chef, has a couple of these Japanese knives & they are awesome.

  7. I am making changes with my family to eat real food, starting with this website! I would love to use the knives to help with my family with meal prep and batch cooking. Thanks for offering this!
